NL-8971 Clock- in Legacy Krell Gray/Blue
One of my vintage Krell KSA-250’s...a veritable sonic marvel by any standard with a nifty color scheme I’ve always liked!
I used .059” Sterling silver tube here in place of the copper used on the Black Emerald clock. I thought the silver color was more in keeping with the color scheme.
The silver tube proved to be extremely easy to solder with conventional 60/40 and liquid flux
Identical in feature and functionality to our Black Emerald B8971 clock, this version sports an enclosure in Krell grey, similar to the beautiful sanded and anodized finish on Legacy Krell Audio gear. PCB's are done in flat black, colon towers are Sterling silver tube, and the front beacon and PCB LEDs are white ( even tho they both look blue) vs. the green LED’s used on the Black Emerald. The flat head bezel screws are MoS2 finished to match the beautiful gray anodized aluminum. All visible components are black vs. the green used on the earlier clock. This is a ONE-OFF only and will not be available for sale unless we get requests for at least 10 of these! The tubes are the problem, I would gladly make more of these were there tubes available.
